Executed Projects

Project Scope:

Strengthening micro, small, and medium-sized businesses to excel in all sectors of our region. Through consistent funding and guidance, our goal has been to identify business opportunities and contribute to the economic revitalization of this region. In this endeavor, collaboration with Fundación Dotaempres (Foundation for Endowment and Business Development, by its name in Spanish) has been crucial.

Project beneficiaries:

11 local entrepreneurs and the local business community.

Impact

We assisted 11 entrepreneurs in amplifying their micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Arusi, Nuquí, contributing to the transformation of the business environment in the district. In doing this, we not only supported the entrepreneurs but also generated additional jobs and opportunities for the entire community.

Entrepreneurs and residents of the districts of Arusí, Termales, and Apartadó, focusing on businesses such as artisanal fishing, crafts, and tourist transportation.

Project Scope:

Using easy-to-make and use origami microscopes, this workshop introduced participants to the world of science. Following an introductory talk, we split the group into two: one group cleaned beaches, while the other participated in educational stations. The session concluded with waste sorting activities, hygiene discussions, and a ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’-style game to measure and reinforce knowledge.

Project beneficiaries:

Children and teenagers from 10 to 15 years old.

Impact

In a workshop, we ignited the curiosity of 100 children and teenagers. Together, we delved into the significance of maintaining our beaches clean and uncovered the fascinating microworld of microbes in contaminated waters—often overlooked yet capable of causing infections.
